Hi! My name is Athavarn. I’ve been learning astrology and tarot since 2022.
Athavarn or ஆதவன் (aah-tha-ven) means “the Sun” in Tamil, but as a Cancer ascendant, my chart is ruled by the moon. Practicing astrology and tarot have helped me balance these two energies within my life.
I use astrology and tarot to show you that you are divine and sacred, as you exist right now. Challenge and change are inherent to life; the planets and constellations offer a framework to navigate them. My approach centres liberation, self-determination, and discernment. I draw on the work of Alice Sparkly Cat, Chani Nicholas, Christopher Marmolejo, and Jessica Dore.
I hope to help you uncover the lessons that are already within you, waiting to be learned.

✨birth chart readings (pwyc $50-$100)
I’ll analyze your birth chart focusing on how to manifest your life’s purpose on Earth. offering includes a 20-40 minute video and audio recording, and a complementary tarot reading if capacity allows.
✨tarot readings (pwyc $25-$50)
if you have an area of your life you’d like to explore or open-ended question you’d like to ask, I’ll do an intuitive reading and send you an audio file and image of the spread. spreads may include crystal work if I have capacity and feel like it aligns!

note: my practice does not include divination or predictive astrology, mostly because I don’t believe in it and think we all shape our own futures. anything future oriented will focus less on what and more on how.
how I calculate my pwyc: I built this practice because I believe in liberatory power of astrology. I have other sources of income. I calculate my pwyc by hours worked x living wage ($25). birth chart readings take four hours, tarot spreads take two. my pwyc is really pay what you can so if that’s $0 then that’s okay. if these rates change I will update this post. in return I humbly request your patience as I fit this work into my schedule. data retention: I delete birth data (date, time, location) after I’ve sent you your reading. I retain your chart, notes, and files for a period of one year if you need to access them, after which I delete them. This data is stored in Notion, with data centres in the United States. Let me know if you have any preferences around sharing and storing data.
